I received an email from LK who is traveling to Europe soon and wanted a little help on how to wear/style boyfriend jeans.
She also wanted the outfits to look European chic, comfy, plus easy to pack: so ballet flats, toms, etc.
I love boyfriend jeans...I think they are a great Spring and Fall item to have in your wardrobe. They can be dressed up with a blazer or cardigan...or they can be casual and comfy with a sweatshirt shirt or plain white t.
I think I came up with some fun and functional outfits to flatter any body type, easy to pack, and comfy chic ;).
(p.s. short people can wear boyfriend jeans...i do and I'm only 5'2"...wear them with a wedge to make yourself look long and leaner or wear a slim ballet flat preferably in a nude/blush color or thin sandal so that your legs aren't just cut off at the shin...avoid bulky shoes)
Have fun in Europe LK...lucky lady! Hope you like the outfits!
comfy cozy:
I love a bright sweatshirt shirt paired with the boyfriend jean...it gives it a carefree look, yet the shirt is trendy and form fitting, pair with toms or flats and a cute cargo jacket for a carefree but totally put together look.
this shirt is from Wildfox Couture..it's a little pricey, I have seen similar sweatershirts at JCrew and H&M.
Blush Blouse:
This is a great outfit that could transition from day to night. For the day wear a lacy or sheer blouse with the boyfriend jeans and a pair of nude flats, then for night you could throw on some black pumps or fun wedges. Add a statement necklace for a little flare.
True Blue:
This outfit fun and feminine..I love the different colors of blue with the blush colored boyfriend jean....Layer the striped top on top of the chambray button up, wear with comfy toms or tan colored wedges.
(jcrew, target, and gap all have colored skinny jeans right now as well, not boyfriend jeans but you could roll and cuff them)
Euro Chic:
I love the look of a black blazer with the boyfriend jean. I think it's the whole masculine feminine thing. Pair these darling boyfriend jeans from JCrew with a printed blouse and black blazer. Depending on the weather you could wear simple black ballet flats (or a patter like leopard) or a simple black flat sandal. I love this one from Old Navy..they look super chic and hello amazing price.
Classic:
you can't go wrong with a great classic white button up. Add some flare with a poncho or a cute trench coat. this outfit looks expensive but it's totally affordable, easy to pack, and comfy (wear the shirt tucked in)
Stripey Fun:
I love a good striped shirt! I think it's fun to pair it with a bright colored blazer instead of classic black. Try a mint or emerald (my favorite) colored one. Pair with leopard flats for or classic black sandals.
shirt: JCrew, jeans: Jcrew, blazer: Ark&Co.( they also have some at H&M), leopardflats: Target, sandals: Old Navy
Spring/Summer:
I love the look of a sheer blouse, dark denim boyfriend jeans (masculine and feminine), a fun floppy hat, and wedges. Perfect outfit for spring or a summer night!
Hipster:
You can't go wrong with a plain white t, a great cardigan, and some toms for an effortless but totally trendy outfit. I would throw on a cute fedora and chunky ring for fun.
(cashmere) cardigan: JCrew, white t: Gap, jeans: JCrew, hat: F21, ring: Jennijewel (etsy), shoes: Toms
Minty Fresh:
Don't be afraid of color...I love this mint cardigan with the blush boyfriend jeans. Pair with a printed blouse like this one and comfy ballet flats.
Pattern Mixing:
Last but not least this is my favorite outfit. I love these boyfriend jeans paired with a gingham top, blazer, and a striped infinity scarf. Add a simple black sandal on bottom....and you are looking good

| scarf: Nordstrom, blazer: Madewell (I love the quality of this one but Target, F21, and H&M also have DARLING blazers I have one from all those places..oops and love all of them), blouse: Madewell, jeans: ASOS, glasses: Toms, sandals: Old Navy |
